Will try posting again. I paper pieced my bees. I made 4" blocks and cut on diagonal to get my C triangle. For the squares I used 2 5/8" squares. Here they are!
I paper pieced this block as well! I am doing scrappy. Hope I can figure out how to bring them together!
Ok I cheated on this one. Love the look of this block when there's a bunch but not single....so does this mean i just have a snowball? silly me! ..the gray matches the carpet!

O.k. ladies.....I screwed up my courage and tried paper piecing for the first time. It took me all day to do one block! PHEW.......
Marie, that blue floral was the remnants of an old dress I am assuming was made in the 30's. Someone then cut it up and you can see where they cut a child's dress or an apron out of it. The rest was thrown in a "rag bag" that was given to me. I loved the print so much I am trying to use it all in a quilt for my daughter.
