Bobbie Joe Klebe:

I have to get Abby's top finished. I also need to work on Serenity's quilt. I am ill. I really hope that I feel better soon. Then I can start the blocks.

Feel better Bobbie Joe! Do you have anything to unstitch? I started making an ugly quilt and when I got sick with a bug and couldn't quilt I seam ripped instead.

Your blocks are beautiful Marie. I'm still waiting for spring. It's only 28 degrees here.

I had to go back to see what I posted, Kris, and it turns out you meant the other Marie.  I guess it will keep me on my toes, that's a good thing.  I will comment on your mention of spring with a picture, which was taken yesterday in my yard.  It just won't go away!!!!!!!!

Folks can call me Beatrice if it'll help! That's the "pen name" I use on my blog. Marie, the snow in my yard won't melt! It's so frustrating because nearly everywhere else its all gone. Can't even blame tree shade since we only have em lining the yard and not throughout it. And last night it snowed a wee bit. My bf was like, 'What is this place?!' My response, 'The arctic.' But warmer days are coming next week. Yey!

Thanks Kris! <3 It takes me so long to make my blocks. Takes me about an hour to decide on the fabric and the layout which I draw and color on graph paper. Then I do all the cutting and sewing which takes me 2 hrs usually. Sometimes more if I'm listening to an audiobook. Is this normal timing or newbie timing?

Marie, I think we should keep it at Marie so we'll keep everyone on their toes, especially me!  :  )  It's pretty warm here today except it's quite windy, in the mid 40's but windchill puts it back there in the 20's.  Maybe we will go strait into summer temps which will also be awful, can't quite stand the humidity.  My DDH always said "you're always complaining" now I know why.  LOL

I'm super slow at making my blocks too! It always takes ages to choose my fabrics and I usually do a bit of unpicking with each block. I try not to worry about the time it takes and just enjoy the process!

I have finished my April Blocks. I made a slightly different version of the Friendship Star with 4 stars in my block. I got this idea from Moda's Friendship Quilt Along and a block designed by Camille Roskelley of Thimble Blossoms. This is the link for anyone who is interested:
