Marie, if at the end of the year, I do not put the blocks on point to make my quilt, then I'll eliminate the heart. I included it because a couple of people thought it was so cute, and it is! It will also make a cute mug rug, pot holder, etc. So, if it doesn't work for people they don't have to use it. NOT A DUMB QUESTION!!!!!!!! The quilt belongs to each of us and be what ever we want it to be when it grows up! lol Also I've seen some very cool quilts that the blocks were different sizes and the quilter has turned them into a beautiful piece when it was all put together by using boarders sets of small units. Very Cool!

Thanks for the ideas, Melody, should've put my thinking cap on.  Although, I think I lost that in my stash somewhere!  :  )

Nice work Debbie. I like that read and white print.

Thanks, Kris.  these are all done with scrap pieces I have laying around.  Have had a few people give me their stash (mostly scraps, nothing big)  because they were cleaning out so i've been using them on thse.  I should go back and find some material to do each block in for a quilt, but then again who says it all has to be the same material.  may just be really scrappy.  I made the LITM into a pillow cover.

My engineer didn't care for the heart block on point. He wanted them all to go the same way so we didn't do that one. It was cute though. I actually saw a completed quilt at Hearts Like Yours in Spokane, Wash. My new haunt!

Thea:

I made 2 different Feb blocks way back when you posted this block - i haven't had a chance to do the heart yet but will as soon as I can  - maybe while I am in Branson - but here is my one in the colors of the January blocks and then one in the Chirstmas All year Long Star quilt fabrics.

On the 2nd one I changed the center square to a 3rd color as I am using that in the blocks I am making for my Star quilt and thought maybe a sampler quilt of all our BOMs would be neat in Christmas colors

Thea, beautiful blocks .
