This is stunning! I am so impressed!
Linda in OK
Thank you for posting a picture of your blocks Lynn - they look fabulous!! I love them all but I particularly like your Kaleidoscope block. I had to study it hard to work out why it looks so different. It is amazing how a different colour placement can change the look of a block completely. Your blocks look wonderful and will make a very special quilt!
I hope you are having just as successful a time making the flowers for the wedding cake you are making!
Lynn, your blocks are beautiful! Yes I am still here! I have tried to check in and be sure I saw the blocks posted on the Media. Great job everyone ! Bev, I am afraid I am so far behind that I may never get caught up! Sept. Blocks may be posted a the weekend.
I love the brights. I recognized some of the style of block, but not all. I guess I should get moving and catch up! Those blocks make me want to dig out my fabric.
thank you. I am really enjoying this online quilting group.
thank you Melody. just relax everything will get done in due time.
lynn your blocks have an Amish feel, was that what you intended?
Melody, I was not intending it to be Amish. I just had the black with mini polka dots and wanted to use it up and then went through my stash to see what I had available to use. I have only purchased a bit of yellow as I ran out of it. I will have to give some thought to the sashing and corner blocks once it is done.
I will continue to take pictures as new blocks are completed. I am sure the quilt will take on a life of its own.
Have a great weekend.
Well, it is still pretty, lynn. Good job!
here are 3 blocks we might be interested in for September or other months
I personally like all 3. We might not want to do all 3 in the same month in consideration of the beginners or not comfortable paper piecers. Or somebody could make them and assess the difficulty level. I would volunteer but right now until at least the 20th sept, my right hand and thumb are in a splint.
OUCH! sorry to hear about the thumb. Not very good for quilting. I was just doing some digging and liked them. it is immaterial too me. We can use one all 3 or none of them. The group is a better judge than I am.
Take care of that thumb.
Here are the blocks I found when I was surfing the web. I do not know how to post them on the pages page.
some blocks to think about.
Melody- are you going to do a 2014 BOM?
I just joined this group and wanted to post something but was denied access. Does it take time to be allowed in the posts? Also I noticed all of the BOM's were from last year. Will there be new ones for this year?
