Hi Gals, I am jumping in with you on this BOM.  I'm also doing the Craftsy 2013 BOM, plus the FMQ with Barbara, so that should keep me busy for a while.  I actually like the preciseness of pp.  Whenever I have a problem with a block, I end up doing it pp and it comes out much better, if not perfect...lol!

I am down with a nasty bug this week, so not doing much of anything right now, but hope to get back to quilting in a few days...

I'm really looking forward to this!!!

Sounds like a plan!! :)

Jan:

"Now that I am understanding it I will start practicing everyday until i get good enough to make the Harry Potter quilt."   Come on Erin.  I just learned how to do the paper piecing too.  By the end of the year 2013, you and I will do at least a block from HP.

Leslie :

Kris, do you have tutorials over in the PP group that would help Erin?

I have many links and small projects in the group's "pages". There's one for freezer paper method as well (you don't sew through the freezer paper). Feel free to look around there.

I really like the colors you've chosen Bobbie Joe.

I have checked out all the links in the PP group, thank you Kris.  I just need to keep practicing.

Thank you, Erin. My boyfriends 8 yr old picked the print. I just found solids to go with it.

I asked her what her favorite stack was and this is part of it. When I finish it It will be a gift for her.
