I finished my strata set for the Wind in the WIllow bargello today. There is a picture posted in the media section.

I finished the strata sets for my Wind In The Willow bargello. This will use the Desert Winds pattern by Becky Botello. This will be my first one color bargello, although I was careful to chose yellow greens, as well as blue greens to have both warm and cools. This is also my first bargello using three inch strips (the pattern has four sizes.) So far I am really liking the three inch strips. The strata set lays nice and flat.

I already have half the strata sets cross cut to size.

I made a set of placemats for my sister-in-law. This photo was taken before I quilted them and I am still finishing the binding. I love the look of Bargello and am glad I tried a small project to get the "feel" of the process. I think I will have better success next time, but I am pleased with how these turned out.

Lilly you go ahead and get started on those Bargello quilts. Jelly roll strips are great for doing it. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Well Denise, we would love for you to put your quilts in the media section for everyone to see. Seem like you have been busy. Maybe you have some tips you would like to share with the beginners of this group.

Hello Barbara, that is a very pretty Bargello quilt. Why don't you try doing a Bargello lap quilt. That wouldn't be as hard.

Easy Quilts a few years back had a wall hanging and I have always wanted to try one, so it seemed like the right time! Super easy and I made 2!

I purchased the book "Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts" by Eileen Wright and followed her instructions. I've only done one bargello so far but really want to start designing my own. It seems there's always one other quilt that has to be done first! I'm thinking I might start doing some bargello placemats and table runners.

I got started with quilt university. I joined it online and learned a lot. I have seen a lot of bbeautiful quilts and would like to try them.

Hello Quilter 222; they are not complex at all. If you know how to sew strips together, then you can do it. I did my first one at Quilt University that is online. It taught me a lot. Check it out.
