you know the great feeling at the end of a big project, i can't believe all the blocks are finished. then the next thought, it's going to take forever to do the border. i'm very happy with this part, now it is on to the next phase of planning.
So you're designing your own borders?
I love this. Fabulous choice for sashing.
This is beautiful!
Your quilt is coming along beautifully, Gini. I like the plaid sashing - very original!
thanks everyone, i'm thinking of a skinny little border with all the colors in it, then doing some kind of serpentine scalloping. from the dark brown and the stripe that i used in the posts. whatever i do, i want the border to be very dark, so the center really stands out.
This is really beautiful!
Beautiful! I love the flowers. What pattern did you use?
Janet, it is wildflowers from p3 designs
thank you gini, I'll look it up

Gini, I knew it would be a stunning quilt, but it's prettier that I had imagined. Can't wait to see it with the border. You always do such magnificent things with your borders.
I had a dream andi am going to make prairie points in brown. In my dream, the prairie points had color inside. This morning, Diana was sitting at her machine and I asked if she had ever made prairie points. Sure enough and she is also clever enough to figure out how I could get the color inside. I have half of the points made and need to get home to find more colors to put inside.
Lovely! You do such wonderful work!
