I can see, after doing this block that we will need to take great care when aligning the pieces that overlap. When you are placing your appliqué pieces on the next background, do not forget to factor in your 1/4 inch seams. Leave large seam allowances for fudge factor. Once again this is an easy block to make, but lining it up with the previous block will be tricky if you aren't careful. I didn't bring my first two blocks with me, as soon as I get home I will attach them and post a picture.
The missing berries on the left side are on the seam allowance. I'm leaving an inch or more at the seam allowances free, to give me lots of room when i need to stitch that seam. The berries are wool, the rest of the appliqués cotton. Thanks to Leslie bringing me more wool, I was able to make more berries. I didn't have my picture with me and evidently I like lots of berries. I used them all and I need more to go on the other blocks. I needed to cut about ten more to finish.
Enjoy this block. The next two are a bit more work.

We are stuck in branson for today and maybe to morrow. Luckily I have, lots of handwork with me.
Looking good Gini. I like the washtub fabrics. I won't be working on mine 'til the weekend.
i can't believe I got on here I've been trying all day. So much for the site being fixed
Gini, you can never get enough berries. I'm almost afraid to ask a question here as I never know when I can get back in. How did you attach the berries?
with a whip stitch
Great block, Gini. I lost my iPad charging cord and couldn't get on here with my PC for some reason. So I'm just now getting on this site. Had to wait till I made it to town to get a new cord. Living in the boonies has its disadvantages.
Love the block Gini. As someone said, great washtub fabric.
I should add, Bonita, that the berries are wool
Gini, your block is adorable.
