i wasn't as happy with my yeallow bells, i will redo a couple of petals, it's a pretty block, and a little tricky getting the over and unders. i stitched down the stems first and leaves, but left the calyxes unsewn.
this is a pretty little flower.

It really is pretty Gini. Yours looks really good to me.
funny gini I just started working on this one today. I have one stem finished . sure don't look as good as yours though LOL
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
thanks you two. kris, i have my potter quilt out and on the wall. it is the first thing i will work on when i get home. i have three blocks left, and i need to adapt them. you should be safe in spokane by now, have a good night's sleep and i will see you in the morning.
That is how I usually do calyxes - I leave them open and then put the petals in and applique them down. I don't think there is an easier way. If there is, let me know. I am always looking for the best way to do things. You did a wonderful job on this, Gini.
Gini,
what time should we expect you.
i am picking up jacy at 9. i will be at your place by 9:45 ish maybe 10.
Thanks Gini. we'll be ready.
