Thanks, everyone.  The dark stripes weren't that hard once I basted them in place.  Then I applied the rest of the petals on top.  I remember fussing to myself about it, but looking back on it I don't remember what about, lol.  I find the whole process of applique such a joy.

 ta da, my last block.

i made the purple background in one piece and appliqued the blue over it.  i turned the purple under the blue as i stitched.  it went pretty easily.
