Block 10 - California Loosestrife - Think this catches me up for the month (4 blocks)

Dang! I'm jealous that you're all caught up and that you've done such pretty needle turn. Ahhhhh for younger eyes! The days when I could read for hours on end...Hmmm I wonder if that's what got me where I am today?? Nah, couldn't be.

Great job, Kathie!

Kathie, this is so pretty!  I like how you've mixed the fabrics on the petals.  Very nice!

Kathie,

I am  very new to appliqué, can you tell me how you made those little yellow strands coming out from the center??  They look like they are tacked down at the beginning and end of each strand??

Annie,

that is an embroidery stitch called "pistil Stitch". It's a combination french knot and straight stitch. Do a google search to see how it's done.
