Gini, I am hopelessly behind. I am now working on the house block and wishing I could comfortably retire and have all my time to sew.
linny, i know. it is hard to decide what to work on next. your fairy is coming out beautifully, and that is where your focus is right now.

I'm working on block 12. I've decided to make one more block but haven't decided which although I'm leaning towards block 15. Then again I might make them all and use a couple on the back or I might change my final layout.
kris, why 13 blocks? is there one you've done you don't like?
i have all my inner borders done and the borders to applique cut out. actually, i think i have everything cut out that i need. all there's left to do is the final applique and stitch everything together.
i have other irons heating up, so once the inner borders are on, this may have to go on the back burner for a while. another ufo
one in the centre and twelve around it, medallion style. I'll make it twice as big as the others or that it my plan anyway.
I'm really looking forward to your finished top. I thought about appliqué in the borders but chickened out.
i'm starting a new thread showing how easy it is to plan borders.
Finish quilt top.
Here is the finished quilt top. Didn't do the aplique border but thought that this flower print would look nice. Won't be able to get it quilted until sometime this summer. There is no place to lay it out here in the apartment. Will have to wait until our move to Virginia in June. Then to get the sewing room set up before being able to do the quilting. Any ideas on how to quilt the blocks. Haven't decided if will machine quilt or hand quilt as of yet. I really like doing the hand quilting.
I love it! good job!
I live in Lynchburg, VA--where are you moving to in VA?
I think that border is perfect! The quilt is absolutely beautiful. Hurry up and finish it.
Kathy - Very, Very Pretty! Did you use batiks for the applique? I zoomed in as much as I could and they look sort of like a "watered" fabric (no pun intended LOL). What size did you make it and did you hand applique or machine? I have trouble seeing to do handwork but, I whiz along on the machine.
Your quilt is stunning. Great job.
Kathie, your border fabric is wonderful with your blocks, very nice choice. I love everything about your borders and choice of fabric. If you haven't already, you must post this in the gallery and , have you worked on a quilt today. Love it, love it, love it.
Kathie ,this is beautiful ,You have done an outstanding job . Barbara
