Hi, I am "arthriticmama", an almost retired RN in northern CA. I had never seen this group, even though I have been a QCA member since early this year. And I do love to applique! I have not been quilting very long, but all of my quilts have appliques, except for the QOV quilt that I am working on. This looks like fun! However, I am still working, so I am not sure I'll have time to do much more than lurk and watch what the rest of you are doing. That, and finish the 3 quilts I am currently working on, of course! I do look forward to learning how to really do applique "the right way". Or at least better than I am doing applique now.

Welcome arthriticmama! Woo hoo!!! Almost retired. You're going to love it. All the time in the world to quilt, applique, and buy fabric and patterns. Life doesn't get much sweeter. Unless it's with grandchildren. lol
Where in NoCal? I used to live in Pleasanton and loved every single minute I was there. We now live in NoCo (northern Colorado) and we love every minute that we are here. lol Glad you joined the applique group. Wonderful bunch of ladies. Gini is our resident expert in ALL things, not just applique. Ask any questions you want. Someone is always bound to chime in.
What is QOV?

arthriticmama, welcome to the applique group. when you retire, i'm afraid you won't have more time. the hours just fill up with stuff. until then, lurk away. and i hope you join in the conversations, too. i would love to see some of your applique.
