Sorry for the poor quality photo. It is a cell phone shot.
Kris I love the colors you are using, I have bought my fabric for this, I'm not going with the original colors either.
Thanks Leslie. I didn't know what I was going to use until after cut the freezer paper pieces from the pattern. I auditioned fabric as I went along. The brown and blue fabric was in a scrap bag I got from the LQS. The only thing I had for sure was the snowman fabric.
kris, i think it looks great. as long as you use the same thread all the way through it will be fine. great fabrics love the red stripe

Beautiful block Linny.
I love it Linny.
Very pretty, Marylin!
I like it a lot, Kris. Is your snowman felt? I can't tell on my computer. I thought of doing felt and even bought some, just in case. Then I found a white on white polka dot in my stash and am using that.
You made me go look to see if I did the feet and beak...I couldn't remember.
my snowman is bamboo felt. I initially wanted to get wool felt but the LQS owner suggested I try this. I like it. Wool makes me itch.
Thanks again, ladies.
I love to applique. I ordered a book with William Morris motif patterns along with the Farmer's Wife CD. I'll have it by tomorrow and just can't wait. With everything I've committed to on QCA and another BOM from another online club, plus my own projects, I bet I've got my quilting time calender scheduled full through 2013! When, I ask myself, will I find time to finish any of the quilts I have tops done for? I have no idea. This is why I do better when I have a recipient and deadline in mind when I make a quilt. It gets done :) I'll have to plan to give some of them as b-day presents or something. That way they might get finished. This is why I don't have any quilts that I've made on my own bed!
I am alergic to wool, also. Bamboo felt, huh? I'll have to try it.
