Here is my block:

So the challenge with this block was the kite. I tried several times to get the kite panels to fit together but I couldn't get it to work. So I machine stitched the panels together for a perfect fit. The kite bows are soooo easy.

This time I'm happy with my detail embroidery.  I didn't follow the instructions for this one.  I found some cute little buttons to use instead of using a bead & french knots.

What challenges did you experience and how did you overcome them?

Thank you.  They are all from fat quarters I've had for a while.  I think I picked them up at Tuesday Morning.  I always look in the craft section of their store because sometime they have fat quarters but not often.  They sometimes have tools that will work for sewing projects.

Block #6.  I love the tails on the kite on this pattern and the beads on the house trim.

Janet, I just love this block. Your scallops are perfect and the pearls make the block.

Thanks Gini and Patricia! We're moving this week so it's been busy and I have almost all my handwork done. I'm beginning to get close to withdrawal if I can't get my seing studio set up quickly enough to get some more blocks ready!
