Here is my block:

So several parts of the hanging basket were particularly challenging!  I had to work & rework the shepherd's hook several times before I could get it to look like the template.  The basket handle was another wonky piece.  I tried & tried to get it rounded but finally gave in & let it go as it was.  Maybe it's blowing in the wind?

Although the pansies turned out nice, the petals were small & a little difficult to handle because of my fabric selection.

I'm still not really happy with the embroidery detail on the house.  I may add to this one too.

What challenges did you have?

I think it looks like something is missing.  Just can't put my finger on it.

Thanks to everyone for the nice compliments.

patricia faye, perhaps it is because your pansies are darker than your house.   could you add some purple beads or flowers to the embroidery?

you also might try embroidering  the roof color around the windows and doors.

The pansies look great! I love this block. I agree with whoever said it above that the dark of the plant basket kind of drowns out the house and because the scallops and door are so close in color value, some embroidery around them would define them so you can see them better. Love the fabrics, they just need a little separation so you can see them. I also LOVE the wonky basket!

Here is my revised Block 5.  I added an embroidery outline of the roof detail & chimney.  I also added small purple french knots to the yellow flowers & some leaves.

I'm happy with it now!  Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.

I really like your block, and the darker thread really set off the house trim.  Love the french knots on the flowers.  Are we suppose to be on Block #5 ???  I just finished #3.  I need to get with it I guess.
