Thank you so much everyone. I really like the cottages now that I've decided what to do with them. I started on Fantasy Flowers tonight. I've got to stop doing hand work and get that last (really cute) border on Nana's quilt for RR 3. I'm sure with everything that has been going on she could use a new quilt top. ;-)

I love your block. I love the way you embellished it. Great fabric for the snow.
Here's block number one.
I like your block with the fabric you used for the chimney. looking forward to seeing it finished.
Wow, Maggie you sure made them your own. Great work.
Really cute block, Robin. I just need to add a few more snowflakes and I'll be done with mine.
Robin, because they are going to be scrapbook pages I used scraps of minky for the snow on the ground, snowman, and roofs. The girls should love touching them. At 3 and 5, tactile is important. LOL
Very nice, robin.

Maggie aka Grandma Sunshine:I'm finally done with both my Cottages Block 1.
Gorgeous block Maggie. Your GDs will love them.
Robin:Here's block number one.
Very nice Robin.
Maggie. Your block is so cute. Love the detail. Bricks do tend to settle:-)
Robin, Very cute block.
I am loving all the variations!
And now I have a really great idea for my first block. I have enough leftover minky to do one block...I think I'll make it the snowman block. I think the little pops will make it appear like snowflakes. At least, I'm thinking it will...
My plans for tomorrow have changed. My son was supposed to have a football game in Davenport, IA...about a 3 1/2 hour drive. So I was going to have some good hand sewing time. But it's been canceled. Instead, I'll work on my RR. AND! I am going to dig into this first block. I really want to get them going. My ideas keep piling up in my head and I need to get them out, lol!
Robin, Your Block is really cute.
Here's Cottage #1. It was a lot of fun watching this block come together. Needs a bit of improvement but that's what the second block is for. Right?
