gini:
i decided that i didn't want to make another block of the month depicting the months, so i am going to try and think up 12 trees for my cottages.  here's the first one.

Gini,

your block is really cute.

I feel the dame way about the themed monthlies. I just finished my April mini wall hanging. Will post photo in media later today.

Here is my revised Block 1.  I added the snowflakes to the background. They do make a difference to the overall appearance.

Gini, what a great idea! I haven't started mine yet since I still am undecided about background fabric. Are you going to use the same fabric for all of your blocks? Can't wait to see the trees you use.

That's a really cute idea Susie.  I would make a pocket at the top and just slide a 3/8" dowel through. Make the dowel wider than your finished hanging and tie the ends of a piece of twine to each end of the dowel for the hangar. Very simple, but cute at the same time. That way you'll only have to have one hangar and can just change the wall hangings for each month.

Wow, I like that idea for the hanger, Janet.  I never thought of that.  I have this owl applique that keeps falling off the wall because I have the dowel resting on two nails.  Now I will use your idea.  Thanks.

Pretty block Patricia. The snowflakes definitely liven up the block.
