I found this one hard to do but it may have been the lousy fabric.  I ripped out more than I sewed. In any case, I am not doing it again.  Bye bye Shooting Star!

I put the Shooting Star on my  design wall and I do not like it at all.  I have to do it again.  I'll do that as the last flower, but I am going to applique it from a copy of the picture that I downloaded.  It looks easier and more realistic.  Thank you for your comment, Gini.

Tricky it is, Frances.  I can't tell you how many times I took out stitches.  Just take your time doing it and it should be fine.  Maybe my fingers are just getting old.

Hi Gini,

I've decided to put Shooting Star somewhere I will never see it again.  I have downloaded a photo of one from the internet and have made a pattern of it which is much prettier and easier to applique.  That is the one I will be doing next.  I just couldn't leave a hole in the quilt where the Shooting Star should have been.,  I will show it to you all when it is done.

I found that I did not like the Shooting Star that came with the pattern and I hated my rendition of it.  To me it just didn't look like a real shooting star so I downloaded a photo of a shooting star and made my  own pattern.  Here it is.  I would be glad to share the pattern with anyone who wants it

You win hands down. Agree the one with the pattern was ugly(hate using that word when it is somone's art) but yours is fabulous and does the flower justice. good job.
