this was a fun block. if i made this one again, i would do the brown stems all in one piece. because i didn't use different materials, you don't see that they are different pieces, waste of my time to do them separately.

Gini, you did such a good job on this block. Your fabrics are perfect. Some day you're going to have to post pics of your stash. I bet it's incredible.

nope it's a bushy plant. here are some pictures. it looks a lot like a native plant here we call princess pine, whose flowers are about 1/2 inch high.
heather is a member of this plant family
kinnikinnick, gramma called it princess pine, it's a native shrub that has a similar flower.
Great job, Gini. I am currently working on this one. I am not enjoying this as much as some of the others. I don't know whether or not to do the border they give us. I might just sash the whole thing. I will see how I feel at the time.
i think that the border they have will detract from my flowers on the dark background. i'm thinking i might do some kind of scalloping around it. we'll see.
Pretty block Gini. I'd seen these before just didn't know what they were called.
THe photos in your second post don't show up for me.
I didn't enjoy doing this one as some of the others. I stuffed some polyster filling in the flowers to give it some pzazz - but there isn't mucb one can do, I think.
well, emily, i think your's is very cute.
I thank you, Gini, but I still say yechhhh on this one.
i'm sorry you don't like it. i like it as much as the others.
I like it too Emily. I like that you "stuffed" the flowers too. Job well done.
Thanks, Kris. I appreciate the 'uplift'. I needed that for this one.
