this one was a little difficult for me.  i can't draw on the background, because the fabric is too soft.  i cut out a shape the finished size of the center and basted it with a stitch in place. i used that as my guide and it worked very well.

Gini, your black eyed susans are so darn cute.  Again with perfect fabrics.  This is going to be a stunning quilt when you're done!  What a good solution to not being able to mark on your fabric.  I'd never have thought of that.
