you're funny emily. sam went to my mama's school of husbands. we were 16 when we got married and lived with my folks for a while. she looked on sam as an opportunity to get the training right without all the hassle of being married to him. he still adores my mom. actually everyone in the family adores my mom. wish i took after her instead of dad, my mouth gets me in trouble a lot.

linny, i'm lazy. i look at how to make things less work, and making a whole new petal or flower wasn't in the cards.
Linny I think what you did is very pretty. It looks like the petal is curled up. I think the embroidery made it even better. The thorns on the stem look good.
Bren
Bren, that's Gini's block. It looks like me because I quoted it to get it back on top.

Married at 16?! Goodness, I was still such a baby. I have the same mouth , always getting me into trouble. I used to worry about it but now I just say "I are who I are." I am too old to worry. I just shoot it off when something hits me the wrong way.

I adore you Gini.
kris, you are too sweet. i think you are pretty cool, too, and blessed to be your friend.
Thanks Gini.
I picked up and decided to start with you ladies in September. I did this for my very first attempt at applique. I was so discouraged I put it back down. Then I got the Country Cottages for practicing on. Now I am on the 3rd one of them and loving it. I know I will go back and move the petals more in line with each other. I did another wild flower and I can't find that one. But when I do I will post the pic. The other applique will be on appropriate pages.

jan, nice job. i wouldn't move the petals around. take off the yellow center and add a petal on the right side, then put the center back on. i had to add a petal behind one of the petals on mine, it looked fine.
Thanks Gini. I think I will do that.
