thanks frances and bev.  it isn't so much talent as it is practice and perseverance.   it takes a bit of practice to get  comfortable with applique

I like your country style.  This is a great block and yours will be a beautiful quilt when it's done.

Linny and Gini,

Both beautiful blocks. I love how no two are alike and each persons block is such a reflection of their own personal style.

Gini, this is just beautiful.  I love looking at your blocks, but this one really is stunning.  Love your butterfly.  Those spring tension hoops are good for putting under your presser foot to do free motion, too.

here's my johnny jump up.

Looks great at usual.

gini:
i got one of those little hoops with the metal ring that fits in the groove and it just fits these little blocks.

I have one of those hoops too. I hate it. Doesn't hold taut for very long I have to keep pulling on my fabric.

ok, so i'm an idiot. i started another thread on johnny jump up before i remember we already had one.  i'll go figure out how to erase the other one.  that's my job, here, cleaning up my messes.

here's my johnny jump up.  i got one of those little hoops with the metal ring that fits in the groove and it just fits these little blocks.  so now  i will be getting my embroidery done since i now have a hoop to make it easier.

Gini ,this is beautiful , You just know how to pick out fabric to make them look so real .

Hey Gini,

I have to agree with Barbara's post. I love that you have the purple as a background fabric. It reminds me of velvet. Looking forward to seeing all of the wild flowers together.
