Lillie - Hoping you're not in the path of the fires out there. How awful for those that are!

Sheila-so far we are not in the path of the fire. But the smoke has been horrible over the past few days. Yesterday the smoke finally left. It's been wonderful to be outside and get a breath of fresh air. It's horrible to witness all this destruction.

The other night, we were standing in our street watching the flames come down the side of the hill. There is a big reservoir between us and the fire.  We are about 2 miles, as the crow flies, east of the fire.

kelli,   first since you were 10!!   i'm impressed,  you've done a great job on your first block.   i can see a couple of little bobbles,  those will only get better as you get more experience.  nice work.

Thank you guys and yes I doing them in 6 inch. I figured the best way to learn is to do. I have been playing with needle turn appliqué a little but this is the first "real"  project I'm doing.
