Thank you Kris.
Thanks Barbara
Kathie,
Beautiful!
I don't know what a pistol stitch is either, will have to look that one up
Thank you Barbara
Thank you Annie. Found out how to do the pistol stitch on line. Very easy to do. It is just a french know with a long tail (you don't go down where you came up but where you want the knot to be).
Lori, I love you block. It does get easier, but you might want to enlarge the blocks to make it easier.

Thank you Gini. I did enlarge them and it is more enjoyable. I guess the old eyes aren't what they used to be. lol.

1Lori - I'll second that! I enlarged mine to 9 inch blocks and it's much, much easier on the eyeballs but, I'm mostly doing machine applique because of the eye problems.
Ok everyone,
This is my first one, its not perfect but for the first one i think its not bad, i tried using the Saral paper (i think thats what its called i cant remember) but i dont think that works very well for me, so i will go back to trusted plastic template, what is everyone else using to make there templates, or tracing templates?
lots of love

Frances-I think it looks great. Actually it looks like you have stuffed the pieces with batting. Gives it a more dimensional look. Perhaps your fabrics could be a bit more vibrant to show up better against the medium background. Other than that, I think it's lovely!
I can't wait to start on mine. Just one more week...woo hoo...lol

Hi Frances, your block is pretty. I really like the background fabric.
