I purchased a floor lamp from Wal-Mart or Target (can't remember which store) for $40. I put in an Ott bulb. Amazing that I found a bulb with a regular base on it. The lamp is only 48-inches high (40 - 42-inches would have been perfect). It sits at the back corner of my couch and is perfect for lighting over my left shoulder for evening sewing. You can also use those newfangled light bulbs and just get the white-light variety. Really, they are just about the same color as Ott bulbs at more than 1/2 the price. Course, they won't fit into those special bulb Ott lamps.

i got interrupted angele,   your flower looks great.  sharp dips are hard for every one.  sometimes i will do a satin stitch all the way around the bottom of steep dips, depending on the fabric i've used.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I am currently working on a Wool applique quilt, called À Garden of Stitches.  Working on block three and four. Will post them as soon as I am done.  I much prefer working with cottons as there is such à variety of colors, hues, and shades.  You are so creative that I am not sure I can measure up to you all.

It is so great to know that all the support you need is right here with the touch of a finger.

Angele,

I just purchased my first wool applique wall hanging. I am so excited to start it. But, I have so many other projects to work on before I start on that one. I'll post the name of the pattern when I can remember to do so.

Can't wait to see your quilt.

I love your flower and saying about "growing an old friend" ! I think its beautiful. I think your friend will love it. My BF here will be having surgery next week and I had lunch w/ her today. She is very down as she will be wheelchair bound for a month after- do you mind if I "borrow" your saying and make something w/ it for her to cheer her?   Geez, your flower is so pretty, could I use that idea too?

Again, you did a great job! beautiful!

Got a flyer from JoAnn's in the mail yesterday. Starting April 1, Ott lights are 50% off. If you have a smart phone, you can download the JoAnn's app and you won't even need a printed coupon or the flyer.
