Elizabeth:  That is beautiful.

Gini:  Isn't that the one Marcia was working on at the Leavenworth (sp?) retreat a few years back that you helped her with.  By the way she finished it.

Did any of you buy the LIL WOOLIES BOM from Fons & Porter's?  It's  7" blocks.  I just got the first kit for the February Block.  Gini, I may need advice,  could I just move into your studio for a week of tutoring?  LOL

I think Maggie's quilt was tulips, but it was very similar.

my studio doesn't have a bed, but you are more than welcome to come up here for a week and stay here at the house.  I will show you how to appliqué, no problem.  I'll go check oit the little woollies.   Wool appliqué is a no brainier, very easy to do.

Little woolies is very cute.  Are the pieces already cut out?  If so this will take no time a t all.   You do a simple buttonhole stitch.  I like using 12 perle cotton, but floss will work and I have used cotton appliqué thread 40 wt.  depending on how thick my wool is and what thread I'm using, my stitches are about 1/8th inch apart.  They can be further apart.  The felted wool doesn't ravel much, you are just securing the appliqué to the back so it stays put. No need to turn an edge under

Have my quilt all marked and the quilting started.  I know it is backwards to put the binding on first, but it is easier for me.  Not sure about quilting in the borders yet.

Gosh Gini, you have a great memory. My UFO quilt is Tulips in the Park. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I can hardly wait to give you a big hug in Branson!

Gini:  Thanks for the advice and invite!  The kit includes pieces of each fabric and the patterns are already reversed so you don't have to turn your mind inside out.  I have appliqued the Feb block and it was easy!  I just used embroidery thread I had on hand.   We will see if I can finish it square and put the hanging sleeve so it hangs properly.

Sorry I haven't responded earlier.  But you know how QCA can be!!!!!
