Can you tell me how to post. It says I am not allowed to and I joined the applique group. I am looking for places in line for decent information about applique. Thank you Cheryls11

And could I ask to be pointed to the "how to add a picture" instructions that Gini provided fairly recently. I have tried to find it without success.
Of course, I thought I knew how to do it with my Mac but was having mail program problems at the time. The email problems are now sorted out but I haven't been able to figure out how to add a picture to the Country Cottages posts and can't find Gini's instructions.
I knew as I hit the trash icon that I wanted to keep it for future reference, but "forgot" to retrieve it. Sorry to ask for a repeat of something already done.

Cheryl welcome to the appliqué group.

Hi Leslie, it's not a problem. When you click on any reply, a bar will appear just above where you type. In the middle of the icons in that bar is a green film strip. Click on it. You will then click on choose file or browse. I select my computer and then canon, which is my camera, and select a picture direct from the camera.
where your pictures are held determines your choice of options. There is a tutorial on here somewhere, but I can't locate it right now. I'll look tomorrow.
Here's how to add photos:
Click the green film strip then follow the rest. After you click "insert" it may take a while for you photo to upload depending on your internet speed or QCA's speed at the time. The size of your photo will also have an effect on upload speed. Just be patient if it seems to be taking too long.
You can type text in the same box as your photo.
Thanks you Gini and Kris. I have tried it, and eventually got to a message saying "missing plug in" so will have my DH (who is a PC computer whiz and resisting learning about Mac's-lol) to help me. I know I need to update the operating system so might just get on that. I am really enjoying seeing all the blocks and finished quilts being posted. What a talented group! And the fabric choices are so interesting to see.
Cheryl, just what info are you looking for. Are you a beginner in appliqué? I can recommend videos and books if I know what you need
My Internet coverage will be spotty the next few days, I'll be here when I can.
you're probably missing Flash. Which OS are you running?
Thank you very much Gini
