Hi Star! I wondered if you were lurking about. Hahaha I was working on my UFO block and was just thinking about you tonight. I'm glad you are able to move your fingers around enough to at least appliqué in spurts. That recovery is a bummer and your arm probably won't ever be the same. Just think, you might be able to predict the weather with it! ;-D
Anyway, my block is still not completed but I hope to have it done this week. I'm going to start a couple of new projects (appliqué group, MQ8, and maybe compass paper piecing). I sure don't want to get bored!!! I'm also doing the Audubon Christmas and an in the hoop mariners compass class at my LQS. Variety is the spice of life along with future UFOs. ROTFL
keep in touch and post your block when you finish it.

I bought it Lillie. If it works well I won't have to purchase the embroidery software upgrade I initially had in mind.

Oh Kris. I can't wait to hear what you have to say about it. Keep us posted.
Will do.
Received EQ Stitch today. WIll be installing and playing as work allows tonight.
Anyway my reason for coming here is to share my first "Vintage Valentine" block. This is actually block four in the pattern:
Kris, I might have to change my mind and do this quilt. Very nice!
very nice, kris, i think i might need to do this one.
Beautiful Kris. I have always loved that pattern and you chose great fabrics for it.
Your block is Beautiful Kris.
Kris, That is very pretty. I love the work that you do - so beautiful.
I rec'd a package today that I had forgotten about. I pre-ordered the next McKenna Ryan pattern and it came today in the mail - I am so excited - all my other work may stop to do this quilt... It is called Wind in the Whiskers and has cats all over it - so pretty - I am pretty excited as you can tell. So I will be bringing it to Branson with me - the first part of any of her quilts for me is transferring all the pattern pieces to fusible and it takes days to do this but I usually do the whole quilt - then I start in my stash and pull fabrics that I will use. She makes them all with batiks and I do to - I just don't buy the kits anymore. I have so many batiks and scraps of batiks that to buy the kit is a real wasted of my money - plus mine will be just a little different from anyone else that does it - I can't wait to start this - tee hee - now I have to make myself stop and finish what I am doing - or jump right in - decisions decisions - but go and look at it - it is really cute!
Thanks for the compliments everyone.
I initially got this as a BOM for my first applique projects. I quickly realised I was out of my league. I ended up buying different fabrics so I have enough for two quilts. I think I'll make them both.
