frances, the only thing i've gtten done in the past few days are these blocks. you should see the house, what wiith all the halloween tree trimmings laying around in boxes and lack of attention to cleaning, we have to wade through.
Gini,
I was thinking your snow angel outfit had little wings and a halo.
lots of love

I should have known that SNL was Saturday Night Live! So funny!
Oh, that's right. You ski. How's the snow situation? That's good exercise, I bet. You are a very active gramma.

we're getting snow in our mountains, but none down here yet. this is pretty exciting, because we are supposed to have a very low snow year
i got the buggy barn patter at the quilt show yesterday, Garden Party. this is another option for next year's group quilt. several of us already have the pattern and at least one of us has the kit. these patterns are pretty big, and look pretty easy, let me know what your thoughts are on this pattern.

buggy barn designs their own patterns. it is a quilt shop out in the wheat fields about 30 miles from spokane.

Cute pattern, but not something I would be interested in doing. Thanks Gini
I am not one for whimsical patterns but I like this one better than the cottages. Can we just do it block by block from one pattern or do we have to do a BOM. $22 a month is a little steep for me.
Is it possible to do something a bit more realistic?

anything is possible, i'm just exploring options. do you have anything in mind?

i just bought the pattern and am using fabric from my stash,
This is a cute pattern, but I like the Country Cottages better.

I bought a book on appliqué blocks that suggest to buy bias bars to make vines and stems. Is this what you guys use in your appliqué or are there other options?
