I chose to leave the bird off, it looked to crowded to me.

After I put my bird on, I really didn't care for it.  I don't know that crowding was the issue, it just didn't look like it belonged there.  I left mine, but I'm not so sure that maybe I should have removed it.  Your block looks really fine without a birdie.

very nice, carol, i like the colors you've chosen.  it looks just fine without the bird, i thought about leaving it off, now i wish i had, it gets kinda lost

Thanks everyone!  I thought about putting a small butterfly to replace the bird, but decided that I liked the block just like it was.

Thank you all! I have the patterns set up for the next one, but slow going now that the weather is getting nice. We just had a huge rain storm roll through with 6 or more inches of water on the streets. So glad to be home.

Here is my drooping daisies block. Didn't put the bird in as it looked too crowed to me. May put something smaller in later.
