I have been working on a Wonky Log Cabin lap quilt, done in black, off white, and shades of grays. The blocks will finish at 12", which will make this top 36" square. I need to get the lap quilt to at least 40" square, but I do not want to add any blocks. Nor do I think I want to add sashing...

I need to cut the 2 1/2 inch triangles on the small value die, which is in the middle of the 4 inch and 2 inch square. That is the only one I need to cut. Anyone have any tips/advice on how best to do this?

Just recently, I had a discussion with a die hard handquilter who said to me, that if I tied the quilts that I am making for my grandchildren for Christmas, that it isnt considered a "real quilt". That if you "tie" your quilt it is really considered a comforter....what is the consensus...

I have an Irish Blessings panel from block party studios. It has 3 panels...2 are actually 8 1/2" squares and one is like 14x18 I think. I would like to make a 'quick quilt' for a wedding at the end of October and include these panels. I am usually pretty good at coming up with a pattern...

My mother-in law has given me some quilt tops made by her mother. They have not been quilted. They were made some time ago, hand stitched using what looks like #10 embroidery thread. The fabric came from sacks chicken feed came in and pieces of old shirts and skirts. She would have made them in the 1940s...
