    Three questions - Has anyone done a quilt using the stack n whack method? Do you have one of Bethany Reynolds's books? Any recommendations on which of her books is the best for a beginner?

    Thea, Stack n Whack quilts are so much fun to make. I took a class back in the 90's, when this first came out. I still use it on my bed in the winter. I've also made two others for gifts to a niece and to my in-laws. I still have fabric I purchased to make two other quilts. It was really addictive...

    Stack n whack is fun. The frustrating part for me are the points - most of the projects involve triangles or wedges but she's got a couple that don't (see Stack n Whackipedia book). Here's her website: If you click on "What is Stack n Whack?"...

  • Quilt Retreat

    We had a wonderful quilt retreat this past weekend. Our second one and it was very well received. We had 24 ladies including my mom, daughter and niece so it was very special for me. Ages were from 13 - 75 and from at least 4 states. I think we are on to something and can't wait to start planning...
