About 4 years ago I took a beginning quilting class. Made a wall hanging top I love, but its never been finished :/ However, this did not slow me up on...

  • Pinning Tip

When I am quilting, or doing any sewing I use two pin cushions. One on my work area where I do my pinning and one by my machine. That way I am not having to move my pin cushion around all the time. When the one at the pinning area is empty, then I switch them around.

Today... hmmm. Well, I have a thousand things to do as usual, and getting OFF of this computer is priority number one. My Aunt suggested glue stick. I place them together first then lift up the top fabric corner and just do...

  • Bobbins to go

I use an empty Altoid tin to hold my bobbins when going to classes or sit and sew. After using it for a year I decided to decorate the lid - turned out cute, The tin will hold 12 bobbins. No more stopping to fill a bobbin,

  • I know where MY foot is

Sometimes on a project, I need to change back and forth between sewing machine feet. After having temprarily "lost" the unattached foot, by either knocking it off without noticing or forgetting where I put it, I bought a decorative toothpick holder. Now I know where to look right away for the...

  • New Years Quilt

Has anyone made a New Years quilt or wall Hanging? I started shopping for New Years Party decorations and noticed that all the colorful streamers and champagne glasses would make for a wonderful quilt design! Do you have any ideas, suggestions or pictures? Perhaps we could do this as a QCA project for...
