  • Keeping your Quilt Block in the Order you want them.

I don't know about you but once I have finished with all my blocks and have them in the order I want them in on my quilt wall, I have a heck of a time keeping them in that order when I need to sew. So instead of the little round labels or post-its that everyone else likes to use I use the photo/scrapbook...

  • Re: What Are You Up to Today? #9

Well, I have learned how to use QCA, looked at many baby quilts in the Gallery, joined some groups and I hope gotten revved up to try quilting again. About 4 years ago I took a beginning quilting class. Made a wall hanging top I love, but its never been finished :/ However, this did not slow me up on...

  • Using embroidered blocks

Hi! I have been machine quilting for several years and recently started hand quilting with a group from my church. Now I have volunteered to set together six embroidered blocks that have to be set together for the printed quilting design to work. However, I need the finished quilt to measure about 90...

  • Re: Sewing chair shopping

Mary: I'd be grateful if you'd take a look at the sewing chair . I make. Each one is custom made for the person ordering with exactly the right seat height and seat length, headrest height, arms (if you choose them) and other features. Perhaps the best feature is the lumbar support and comfort...

  • quilters in northeast Tennessee and/or Chicago

I'm wondering if there is anyone in northeastern TN or Chicago, who may be interested in quilting a quilt/quilts for my daughters. And how much would she/he expect to be paid? I have not yet started, so the tops will not be ready for quilting for an indefinite time, so it could be a project for next...

  • Quilting suggestions for a Jelly Roll strip quilt.

Hi everyone. I hope that you are having a creative weekend. I have just layered and basted a Jelly Roll (Race) strip quilt and would like some ideas and/or pictures on how to quilt it. I had thought about stitch in the ditch for each row or just some type of pattern in each strip. I also wondered if...

  • Re: Looking for Long Arm Advice - Need your experience

Two years ago, I bought my HQ18 Avante. Yes, I would buy it again! I have it set up at 12 ft, it takes up most of my basement. I do not have the ProStitcher. It's an extremely easy, forgiving machine to learn on. Things I would want to know: 1) At the time I bought my machine, the Handihandles would...

  • Re: What Are You Up to Today? #6

Today... hmmm. Well, I have a thousand things to do as usual, and getting OFF of this computer is priority number one. However, I need to upload photos to Walmart.com to compare their prices in prints and photo gifts to Shutterfly. I prefer Shutterfly, but Walmart is local and I can skip out on shipping...
