  • Keeping your Quilt Block in the Order you want them.

I don't know about you but once I have finished with all my blocks and have them in the order I want them in on my quilt wall, I have a heck of a time keeping them in that order when I need to sew. So instead of the little round labels or post-its that everyone else likes to use I use the photo/scrapbook...

  • Re: Tips on Storage Ideas

I recently purchased a Hang-up home organizer from Thirty One. It works perfectly to keep my current project and upcoming projects organized and I can write what I need to purchase directly on it with dry erase markers. It saves space, keeps me organized and works as a quick reminder of what I need when...

[quote user=" LaJuan Sukochi Lee"] [quote user="Sheila"] Carol - Lucky you having artistic talent, too! I'm jealous. Thought I'd share a find I made yesterday at Staples. In the section where they have all of the storage crates, totes, etc. I found plastic boxes that are the...

  • Re: It's Time for MQ V!

I've been looking through my magazines at the Christmas wall hangings. I made one last year for our motorhome. It was one of those last minute panels and I added some borders and then quilted around it. It really did turn out cute and the kids did like it, so that is important. I started to cut some...

  • How to organize projects

  • Storage and organization tips

Here's what I do for different quilt projects and each different block, border, etc. First of all my projects are organized into large zip loc baggies and labelled with the size, type, and project name and color. Example: One bag says 3 1/4 inch X 21 inch black border for Steve's Quilt. If it...

  • Organization

I do about 3-4 shop hops annually so I need to keep the patterns and fabrics received organized. I purchased a 3 ring binder (soft sided) and plastic sheet protectors. When each shop gives a pattern and fabric, I slide them into a separate sheet protector in the binder. I also have a sheet (or 2) of...
