  • Happy to be a Quilting Newbie

Hi everybody -- I just started quilting about 6 months ago. I did a lot of sewing in my youth with my grandma, primarily making clothes and bags and stuff. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in my 20's and over the years the tremors got so bad that I couldn't do a lot of the craft things...

  • Re: What Are You Up to Today? #6

Been quilting on and off for years, never anything really intricate, but I really enjoy the creativity, and am teaching my 10 yr old granddaughter...

  • Re: Are You Ready For MQ 6?

Hi Everyone, I haven't properly introduced myself since joining in March - I'm a rebel, what can I say? - but I'm Toni, and I'd like to say I'm an old, experienced quilter - and I am one of those things...but unfortunately, it's not the experienced quilter! Anyhow, I love, love...

  • Novice quilter

  • Hi

I'm new to quilting, though not to sewing in general. My best friend was a wonderful quilter before she lost her battle with breast cancer, and sometimes I think I'm beginning to 'channel' her. When my grandkids were born, I used embroidery kits to make blankets for them, and quilted...

  • San Francisco newbie

Hi, I'm David. I'm brand new to quilting. Not a completed project yet, just fooling around with sample blocks. I've appreciated quilts since I'd seen them at the State Fair of Texas as a kid, but when I saw 'Amish Abstractions' at the De Young museum here in San Francisco last...
