  • Buying a longarm (HandiQuilter HQ Pro Stitcher)

    Yesterday was the 3rd time I went to look at the Handi Quilter setup (HQ18 Avante and 10ft frame). 16K ! (yikes - that is a car payment). But I'm getting more and more serious about the purchase.     HI Vivian, Both sides are the right side in this case! Whatever direction or side works that best for your quilt. Alot of times I turn a quilt side ways on my Miss Jewel as long as it helps in the final design or pattern that I have chosen to do. I think that I would put tick marks down the sides so...

    Hi Jeanine, You may be right! My friend, Cindy Stowe, has recently joined QCA and probably would like the lefty thing but It would be nice to get their prospective on longarming and quilting in general. Since the surgery on my right arm, I have a whole new respect! Judylee

    Hi Jeanine, I have 2 friends that I work with longarming with, one on a Gammill and the other on a Crown Jewel. It is funny both were left handed! I found out that a lefty really does have to start from the opposite of a right to be able to see where they are driving. I didn't have to add anything...
