  • Looking for Long Arm Advice - Need your experience

For those of you with a Long Arm machine..... would you buy the same machine you have now again? Last year I was looking at the HQ Avante with the Pro Stitcher but now more manufactures are coming out with computerized quilting. And I'm lost on which machine to really look at for purchasing. Here's...

  • Buying a longarm (HandiQuilter HQ Pro Stitcher)

Yesterday was the 3rd time I went to look at the Handi Quilter setup (HQ18 Avante and 10ft frame). 16K ! (yikes - that is a car payment). But I'm getting more and more serious about the purchase. Anyone familiar with a recent long arm purchase or this machine? I'm looking into the computer generated...

  • Re: Did You Work on a Quilt Today? #5

Hi Everyone! Wow, a big welcome to all the new members! So many in so few days. There is so much talent here! I am back from my visit with my sister in VT. Had a wonderful time! It is so beautiful up there in Northern Kingdom VT. How deceiving is the beauty of summer there though, the winters are brutal...

  • So what should I quilt on the quilt?

OK, I now have the Drunkards Flower Path loaded and ready to quilt. I added butterflies around the center. I am just wondering should I do an overall or should I work with each circle and the white area around around each circle and frame of it? Just can not decide. What color thread should I use? I...

How do you like the PantoVision? I have been trying to get more info on what people think about it before I put out the $$$. Looks like a wonderful product and I will need to call to make sure it can go on my Gammill Vision 22 (it should since I have stitch regulator). Thanks, Amy

The tutorials were so simple to follow. I learned new things and I am going to keep your email so I can go back to the turtorials when I make the rice bags and side leaders. Thanks a bunch for the information. Bettie

I have wanted to use a panto for a border, but I'm confused on how to do it. The corner is printed on the panto but I really don't understand how to use it. Got any suggestions? I know I need to do some practicing to try to learn how to space it like I did with the panto itself. I needed a lot...

I agree with Jeanine. I love to share what I am learning with others although I don't spend enough time at classes and projects at the quilt shop. I do believe you are very fortunate to be very creative. I personally need panto's and designs to put together. I don't have a great imagination...

I have done one panto on a quilt and I loved doing it. I am not sure at all how to do a border with corners. The panto is marked but I would have to play with it on practice material to learn how to do a corner. I practice most everything I do for days before I do so I get it down and don't mess...

Granny M - I don't recall what machine you have but on my APQS, there is a spot to put the laser on the front of the machine. Like another arm that sticks out where you can attach it. Also, depending on how yours is attached, it might work on the top spool holder if you have one.
