  • long arm quilting

I am making a wall hanging from a picture my grandson made with construction paper. I would appreciate any feed back on the quilting-it is hard to see on greens although the dark green has a lot of squiggly lines to represent roots and worms under the ground. It appears the pictures got reversed. Oh...

  • Re: Did you work on a quilt today? #3

Wow where is everyone? I didn't work on anything yesterday but did get Tin Lizzie 10' set up and the new Quick Zipper system came and my D S-I-L was going to come over to help load MQ4. However; my D M-I-L fell and broke her wrist and ended up in the hospital. DH helped me that on to the frame...

I would like to hear from quilters who own or have owned the Gracie quilting system. What machine did you use it with or did you buy it with the Juki? Did you know that a sharpie, overhead projector sheet and a coloring book can make stencils with, will make almost any theme...

  • Re: Thread breaking

HI Granny M, I think that I am also late in this discussion, did anyone mention tension? As a Longarmer that is the first problem with breakage. Then sharps needle is also very helpful along with slow to medium speed. Works for me! Judylee

Hi Joy, I hold my stencils down with painter's tape, it holds well and leaves no sticky residue. Judylee

  • Re: Stencils for Pounce Pad

Hi Sharon, I am a longarm quilter as well and I bought a pounce because I had read that I would need it. Staples has the old fashioned clear overhead projector sheets that work wonderfully. Change Your needle to a Size 18 and stitch without thread. I found out that the pouce is messy and it is very easy...
