  • Another use for the toothbrush

    After sewing a bunch of quilt blocks, I decided it was time to clean and oil my machine. The fabric I'm sewing must have an awful lot of lint as the feed dogs were packed, and even though I used the vacuum cleaner, I couldn't get them clean. So, I dug out an old toothbrush and it worked wonders...

    I recently came across a magnetic air deflector that is used to move the air from floor vents in another direction. It is made of clear plastic and shaped like a pocket. It wasn't in use, so I stuck it to the side of my metal sewing desk to get it out of the way. It was right next to my ironing board...
