  • long arm quilting

I am making a wall hanging from a picture my grandson made with construction paper. I would appreciate any feed back on the quilting-it is hard to see on greens although the dark green has a lot of squiggly lines to represent roots and worms under the ground. It appears the pictures got reversed. Oh...

The quilting may be enough, but you can add detailing by using motion in the quilting. In the sun add some rays going out and maybe a cloud or two in the sky. The border could use some swirls to bring it to life. If you want to add more detail meaning adding more to the quilt itself, how about a small...
  • domestic machine quilting, help please

I've been working through a book "Easy Machine Quilting". I've done the exorcizes on 14" blocks, they turned out really well and like to use my domestic machine for quilting. But now I have a lap quilt (maybe a little bigger) I want to start on. I've done a bit, but find myself...

Hey all! I'm pretty excited....I received my advance complimentary copies of Quilting & Embroidery magazine - spring edition - yesterday from Kentucky. My quilt is featured in the magazine on page 50. They did an absolutely beautiful job of photographing it.

Hi Rose! Wow - you really are up North! I'm in Calgary and have never been to Slave Lake. I've been as far North as Cold Lake though - and it was spectacular up there. I wish you well in your new home and look forward to "talking" to you more via QCA. Kim in Canada

Hi Rose! Welcome - nice to hear from you. I live in Calgary - and I understand you are also located in Alberta? I have Brother embroidery/sewing machines and love them. They are very old - but they completely do the job for me. I do a lot of stipple/free motion quilting on my machines and love the result...
