    My tip is one I learned by default! Always buy a little bit more fabric than your pattern says! Why, Murphy's Law: What can go wrong, will go wrong. and it's corollary: If the fabric is no longer available, you will make at least one cutting error and need extra fabric!   • choosing fabric for a quilt

    When I plan a new quilt, I go thru my fabric stash as the first step in choosing fabrics. Then I usually have to head to the quilt store or on-line to find additional fabrics. In addition to swatches from my chosen fabrics; I take the information printed on the salvages. This will show the fabric manufacturer...

    You might try the color catcher sheets put out by Clorox, I think. The box says Color Catcher Sheets. They do work. If the color has set, you might use OXI Clean in a tub of warm water. Put the OXI Clean in with the water and mix before you put the quilt in. Let the quilt soak for up to 24 hrs. Check...

    February Newsletter Tip Winner: I'm not sure how "creative" my tip is for this post, but the best way for me to get a project finalized or work completed is for me to be completely and totally organized - which of course, takes time!
