  • Re: Craftsy Block of the Month Class #2

I made a smaller quilt. It measure 44 X 56. I used Ann Petersen's method for machine quilting each block before joining them. It worked great. I am making placemats from the remaining 8 blocks. I'll post them when I'm finished. This class has been fun. I've learned to make several new...

I have the last two blocks done, too--paper piecing is not my favorite, although I have done some quite a few times before -- but the darn things turn out so perfect, have to like them! I'm not sure if there would ever be a complete quilt of paper piecing for me, tho - think I prefer to just sew...

I experimented with my decorative stitches. I didn't like the look or feel of the snowflake stitch around the outside of the modern block. It...

Thanks Marie. I started quilting about two years ago. The hardest thing for me is to select colors and prints that work well together and with the pattern. This quilt is going to be wild. I'm not sure I like it. When it is quilted it will probably look different.
