    Hi Everyone next question, how do you do your bindings is there an easy way it looks complicated to me but im sure it must be easier than i think otherwise more companies would sell ready made bindings the last quilt i cheated and sent for Lollipops bindings from America, but i have noticed they do not...

  • MEASURING CHARTS

    Block Measurements for Half square Triangles? Is there a chart for measuring blocks for half square triangles e.g. 8" finished block, 8-1/2 inch block for just a block, is there a chart for making this block into 2-1/2 sq. triangles? I thought I had this chart in one of my quilting books...unable...

  • Binding odd Shapes

    I'm very new to quilting, and have only made square or rectangular quilts so far. Binding them has been easy! I'd like to try some other shapes like octagons or circles, etc. In my mind I just cant figure out how to do the binding on them, lol I'd love any help or suggestions! Thanks, Linda

    Hi Horsequilter - I cut my bindings 2-1/2" wide, fold over and press, sew on the back and bring to the front and sew with a simple decorative stitch. It's very durable. I will cut the binding on the bias (using the continuous cut method) if the binding fabric has stripes or a squares/plaid pattern...
