Melody Paper piecing really isn't hard. After you get a couple blocks under your belt you will wonder what you were afraid of. We will help you along the way and I think you will be just fine.
I feel the same way Mel, I don't...

Kathy you may be a displaced Southerner, but I am a displaced Yankee so I know how you feel. Not a Northern Yankee mind you, but a Western Yankee! If I recall my schooling Washington State was not involved in that conflict but Calif and Arizona were, in fact I believe that the Western most battle happened...

Frances, I believe there was one mentioned in the book. It was by Red Rooster Fabrics, also one by Moda. Check the "look thru the book" on Amazon for more information. So do you have any idea when we will start this? Late Sept or Oct? Most of us should have the book and some fabric by then...

Hi Debbie-do, That sounds like something I'd like to do if I didn't already have something on my calendar! Oh Darn!. Then it's almost a 6 hour drive to SA from where I live, almost to the LA border so I would definitely make it an overnight trip, need to get the trailer ready for short trips...

Nana I also tried it both ways and now I find it much easier to not pin. Using the snips I have no trouble matching. I also use a tweezers to finish the last 1/2" or so. But each to their own, as long as we give it a try. Can't learn if we don't try! In the Piney Woods of Deep East Texas

Looks great though some of the blocks look tough for me. I've not done anything thay have curves or that look like a mariners compass.
I haven't either, Is, but I'm thinking...

Jacy that sounds reasonable to me. Any longer and I think we'd lose interest, ...maybe. Now I'm eager to get started! In the Piney Woods of Deep East Texas

Just finished looking thru the "Look Inside". It does use a lot of fabric. Like you, Carol, I think I will wait to see what each block takes then decide on fabrics. I may go ahead and get something for backgrounds. This should be so much fun! Our local "Bee" is just finishing up a...
