  • Help: Sewing/Quilting Machine Advice?

I'm new to quilting and am in the market for a new machine that has more room for machine quilting than my Brother CS6000i (which was free). It's great for taking to classes and piecing. I've been looking at the Brother DreamCreator VQ2400 and within a 30 mile radius of my home I have found...

  • Time for a new Sewing Machine ?

About 8 years ago, before I knew anything about sewing or quilting, I paid less than 200 for a Sears branded Janome Harmony 4052 sewing machine. Paid an extra 30 for a walking foot (once I found out what it was). This is a really basic machine that has taken me through 6 bed sized quilts and a half dozen...
