• Re: Texas Quilt Retreat

Is this retreat still on as planned, March 19-23? The cost will be $224 per person plus food and fun? Is there any room left?
Yes, the retreat is still going to be March 19-23, and there is room left. I am out of town right...

At the price of rental tables it may be easier to just get our extra tables after we get there and set up. They can be pretty hard to pack and transport. We will need a couple of ironing boards. I am planning on bringing my regular ironing board and I also have a small table top. The small ones will...

Marlene ---- yippee!! I am so glad that you are thinking about joining us. No Ms Cricket --- you can't come. Sorry. You will have to stay home and take care of your Dad. And that Marie and Kris are seriously thinking about it too!!! And Darlene all the way from Canada! Sept isn't any cheaper...

Sabrina - We would love for you to join us. Have you looked at the retreat center's website? Bear Lodge is less expensive and only sleeps 20 - BUT the gathering area wouldn't accomodate 20 sewing stations that's why I thought Elk was better. If we only get 20 people, then we can each have...

Another thing to consider in weighing the pros and cons of the two resorts. At Hidden Mountain, you have three levels in all of the cabins so there are a lot of steps. After Diana and I went through the first one completely together, we started saying - "You check out the upstairs, I'll check...

I checked out Tuckaleechee Retreat over in Townsend today. The largest of the lodges (Elk Lodge) would be the best bet as far as a large enough common area for our sewing. Elk Lodge rents for $900 per night in May / $1200 per night for Oct. The really nice thing is that Ruth told me that since I was...

I am open to suggestions --- it just may not work out that we can find a place to meet if this isn't settled soon. So---- Nana and I need everyone to jump in here and tell us their "druthers". Then I guess we will need to find a place that fits those parameters.

The happy wanderer checking in again. Yesterday with Diana was awesome!!! Ex SIL didn't show so I was glad that Diana had agreed to meet me. It's a lot more fun with someone who shares your passion. We visited Cherry Pit and Iva's. Both shops would be willing to do something for us while...

Right now it will sleep 12, possilbly 13. they are in the process of remodeling another small cabin on the property that will sleep an additional 2 or 3. They are also working...
