  • Re: Scrap Quilt

Hi Melissa: I think that I probably have more cut fabric scraps than the dinosaurs. (leftover strips from previous projects) The majority of the time when I'm making scrappy quilt blocks and scrappy purses/totes, I randomly pick up a strip, but try to make sure that it will be a nice contrast to...

  • Re: What Are You Up to Today? #6

I am happy that she was able to find a job. Myself? I am an art teacher and 6 credits shy of being certified in Special Needs (but can't afford to return to college to finish the credits). I've been out of school since 2007, and there is no jobs in site. The few short term leaves that are available...

  • Pucker Problem?

So I'm hand quilting these blankets to donate and I'm using cotton fabric tops with fleece backing. I laid it out of the carpet to pen it down when I started quilting I turned it over to check it and there were all these puckers in some spots. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA No, so should I take the spots...

  • Re: Are You Ready For MQ 6?

Ok... I took a couple closeups of my quilt top this morning before work since it was brighter in the house with the sun out. This shows the detail of the fabrics a lot better than the pictures I posted last night when it was dark in the house. The first picture shows the jelly roll before it was cut...
