    Its funny you should post this question to everyone; I was just thinking last week how far I've come in quilting since I started. It was quite evident when I had to make my in-laws quilts' smaller. The quilting looked like a 5 year old did it, my stippling was enormous, my points didn't match...

    I used SHARON SHAMBERS basting technique as shown in the FREE SECTION of her web page. I use the boards to roll up the parts of my quilt. I use embroidery thread and sew using the HERRINGBONE STITCH to secure the layers of the quilt. This method is the easiest for me since I can do it on my cutting table...

    Diane and Stephanie, You both asked about monofilament thread. There is great information at http://www.superiorthreads.com with lots of educational info as well as product info. I love their MonoPoly which is a polyester monofilament invisible thread that is soft and heat resistant unlike nylon monofilament...

    Did a FUN AND DONE quilting class today... What a great technique... I think it can be done to any block as long as you realize there will be sashing between the blocks. I made 2 blocks in class then went home and made two more blocks. I also got out some of my wonky blotto blocks put a frame around...
